Archives, this double CD enables us to discover 7 concerts featuring
Miles¡¦ legendary sextet : John Coltrane, Cannonball
Adderley, Bill Evans,Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers & Jimmy
Cobb.
These performances are essential additions to the studio albums
released during the same period of 1958-1959, including
¡¥Kind of Blue¡¦, the greatest jazz album of all times.
This set includes for instance 3 versions of ¡¥So What¡¦, in
which John Coltrane and Miles Davis do solo improvisations that
for sheer mastery and originality are quite unique.
