It is no exaggeration to call Chick Corea one of the most productive composers of the second half of the 20th century. As sideman in the bands of Mongo Santamaria (1962), Willie Bobo (1963), Blue Mitchell, Stan Getz, Sarah Vaughan, Herbie Mann (1964-1966) and later Miles Davis, starting from 1966 Corea rose to the position of being a confident and sensitive soloist and band leader in studio recordings and concerts. Whether avantgarde, bebop or children music, conventional styles, fusion or also classical music – the pianist picked up on several musical basics in his brilliant career and always played on a high level that is just incredible. With his restless creative urge he works on new material for various line ups, amongst others his dynamic electric band, his flamenco-like band Touchstone, the legendary Return To Forever and also this quartet, with who he recorded the album “Time Warp” in 1995. This album became a monument on his own label Stretch Records.
